Do's and Don'ts of knife care.

Your knives are one of the most important tools in your kitchen. They are often one of the most expensive items (after appliances). Basic care is pretty straight forward.
Wash and dry by hand after use.
They are not meant to be used as pry tools.
Don't use metal or granite cutting boards.
Do not use pull-through knife sharpeners.
Have them sharpened by a reputable sharpener
It's really as simple as these 5 things. Even inexpensive knives will last for decades if properly cared for.
